  In today’s information-based world, new technology reform has been driving many industries such as electronic communication, modern telecommunication, bio-engineering, and new material to develop at a shocking speed. And, as China has joined the WTO, its new economy, mainly consisted of high-tech enterprises, private science and technological businesses, and non-public enterprises, is bond to take a huge leap.
 
  Former CPC General Secretary said, “The whole Party and society must pay much attention to the great role that knowledge innovation and talent cultivation plays in the progress of social and economic development, extending the awareness of prospering the nation through science and education to all corners of the society and translating the belief into practice.” In order to address the challenges of the new century and put comrade Jiang’s instruction of “innovation is the soul of national progress” into action, with the approval of municipal government, the Caihejing High-Tech Park was built on the basis of Xinqiao Caohejing Development Zone. The High-tech Park aims at exploring and innovating new economic systems through establishing and supporting the new economy organizations and corporations to promote the growth of new economy and prosperity of the society.

  Shanghai Caohejing Development Zone High-Tech Park is located in Xinqiao Town of Songjiang District, covering an area of 168 mu. It is 15 km away from Shanghai Caohejing Development Company, 24 km to the People’s square, 16 km to Hongqiao International Airport, enjoying fine geographical position and convenient transportation. The newly built Outer Ring and Shanghai-Hangzhou High Way are attracting more and more investors home and abroad to start business in this ideal land for investment.
 
  The park encourages enterprises, scientists, researchers to start businesses. It welcomes scientific and technological achievements to be industrialized and commercialized here. It also supports college graduates, masters, doctors and overseas students to initiate businesses in the park. The park provides quality service, covering the whole process of registering various kinds of enterprises, and also rents factory buildings and offices. The occupancy rate of the park’s factories has reached 85%.
