Shanghai Zhujiajiao Industrial Zone, city level, is located in the south of the national historical and cultural site, Zhujiajiao Town. It covers 8 square kilometers with 1.6 square kilometers for the first phase and enjoys the favorable policies of a city level industrial zone. Zhujiajiao Town lies by the side of Dingshan Lake of Shanghai’s west suburb and covers 138 square kilometers with great geographical position. Its terrain is flat and open with 3.0-3.8 ground level and a web of limpid waters around it.

  Now, the town has been listed by the municipal government as the center of the “one city nine towns” project. It has an early start in and solid foundation of industry. Now the Zone has attracted over 400 enterprises of considerable size among which are 55 foreign-funded ones. The overall amount of private businesses amounts to 2,298. All its enterprises specialize in eight major industries including cable, light machinery, electronic instruments, textile clothing and shoes, sports goods, chemicals, food processing, metal and building materials. It is world famous for its tourism facilities such as the Shanghai Aquatic Sports Center, Shanghai Teenager All-Round Development Center, Shanghai Taiyang Island International Club, Shanghai International Golf Club etc.
