Shanghai North West Comprehensive Logistics Park lies in Taopu Town, the key town in North West Shanghai. It covers an area of 18.83 square kilometers and is located in between the Shanghai-Ningbo and Shanghai-Jiading Highways. The park is a land transportation logistics center of Yangtze Delta and inland provinces. Transportation from Shanghai to East China, South China and Middle China must pass through here and vice versa. Taopu Town enjoys especially advantageous transportation with No. 204, 312 National Highways, Shanghai-Ningbo and Shanghai-Jiading Highways running through it. More importantly it is where the Inner Ring Highway joins the main roads of the Outer Ring Highway. It is only 10 minutes drive from Taopu to Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, 45 to Pudong International Airport, and 15 to Zhanghua River International Container Pier. Its unique location advantage has promoted Taopu a vital base of Shanghai’s city industries and resource distribution.

  Shanghai North West Comprehensive Logistics Park is one of the three major logistics parks of Shanghai in the eleventh five-year plan period. It is a land transportation port logistics park with provincial logistics distribution as its main function, integrating various other services such as space-booking, dealing, storing, distribution, processing, delivery and exhibition. The Park is building a land exchange center, establishing land transportation price index, and providing logistics consultation and space-booking, dealing, information services with Taopu area as its center and the development of Weilai Island as its feature. It shall further develop its roads and railway container transportation and build itself into a multimodal logistics park through the converging effect of land exchange center.
