Shanghai Pudong Chuansha Economic Zone was established from the combination of Chuansha Town Industrial Zone and Jichang Town Industrial Zone on Oct. 12, 2001. It covers 690 hectares and is divided into three parts, the economic area of 296 hectares, the industrial area of 188 hectares and the logistics area of 206 hectares.

  The economic area focuses on advanced manufacturing industry; the industrial area, airport industry; the logistics area, logistics and storage industry. 

  The Zone was approved by the National Development and Reform Committee to be an integral part of the province level development zone, “Shanghai Pudong Airport Development Zone”, on Jun. 9th, 2006 after the on spot investigation of leaders from national, municipal and district level governments.

Zone Management
  The Zone is managed and developed by Shanghai Pudong Chuansha Economic Zone Corporation authorized by the government of Chuansha Town.

  Since its establishment, the Zone has invested in the construction of its supporting facilities of roads, pipelines, towers and buildings, green lands, standard factories to prepare for the construction of attracted projects. The road network in the Zone has taken shape.

  The park has attracted many investment projects not only from within the country but also from around the world including US, Japan, Germany, Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Among the foreign-funded enterprises are world’s top 500 enterprises like US Cummins and AMB.

  The park strictly adheres to the national and district standard procedures of project approval, land use, labor force arrangement, land requisition and removal, batch lease and construction etc.

Zone Development
  Currently, the Zone has attracted in 72 investment projects, 54 in the economic area, 10 in the industrial area and 8 in the logistics area, with an overall investment of 5.3 billion RMB.

  The development of the Zone’s surrounding areas has turned it into a hotbed for investments, especially the construction of the new area on its north, Yangshan Deep Water Harbor to its South, Pudong International Airport to its east and theme park to its west.
  Chuansha Economic Zone is a modern zone developed from a high starting point, featuring clear road network, complete supporting facilities, beautiful ecological environment and advanced forestation system. The enterprises introduced in the Zone are all pollution and interference free projects. Thus, the Zone has become a great interface for the development of enterprises.
