Shanghai Fengjing Economic Zone, whose management committee was established in 1993, is one of the first economic development zones in Shanghai. It is now consisted of a industrial park and a commercial park. The industrial park covers 8 square kilometers in area with “Six Supplies and on Leveling” supporting facility and 100 km2 standard factories of all sorts at the customers’ choice. Up till now, there are about 50 enterprises in the industrial park, investing 2.5 billion RMB. The commercial area boasts 2,000 enterprises and generated a tax of 170 million RMB in 2003, 242 million in 2004, ranking itself the top of Jingshan District’s economic zones. It was awarded the title of Model Economic Development Zone of Jinshan in 2001 and 2003. In Sep. 2004, it was certified by ISO9001:2000 quality management system, the first in Jinshan District.
