Shanghai Hujia Economic Development Zone

  Shanghai Hujia Economic Development Zone was established in 1994 at the approval of the government of Jiading District and Shanghai Agricultural Commission. It is located in Malu Town which boasts long history and is home to many great people. Since liberation, it has been the No. 1 town Shanghai and playing an important role in carrying out the country’s opening-up policy. Sixty heads of state have visited the town. It has attracted, with its complete supporting facilities, fine investment environment, and favorable policies, more than 500 foreign-funded enterprises, among which were many internationally renowned ones such as McDonalds, Pepsi, ABC Steel Structure, and FLEXTRONICS from US; Remy Martin, Cosmos Group; Zhongji, Nixiguqi Printing and Nipro Medical Appliances from Japan; Dazhong Computer, Zhendan Group, Fuxing Door Locks, Zhengfeng Industry, Qiaoshan Sports Facilities, Wangpai Mechanics, Jushuixuan Food, Huanxing Tools from Taiwan and etc. In 2001, the town’s social gross production volume was 15 billion RMB, and it contributed 800 million for tax. 

  Since establishment, the Zone has been dedicated to attracting enterprises large and small, domestic and foreign, private and public to invest and settle down in its realm. After several years of hard working, the Zone has already attracted more than 2,000 enterprises and is becoming a prosperous hotspot for investment.

  The Zone is located by the side of the government of Jiading District at the Jiading exit of Shanghai-Jiading Highway, the first high way in the country. It is 25 km or 30 minutes’ drive from central Shanghai. The Zone also boasts complete infrastructure including water and power supply, coal and gas, post office, telecommunication, roads, drainage and etc.
