Shanghai Machine Tool Science and Technology Industrial Park was built up according to the overall strategy of Shanghai Municipal Government for developing city industry. It is based on Shanghai Research Institute of Machine Tool to attract enterprises with numerical machine and mechanics and accessories as primary business to promote the development of Shanghai’s city industry.

  Shanghai Research Institute of Machine Tool lies in the central area of Shanghai, with Suzhou River running by its east and is linked to the Shanghai Railway Station, Shanghai Subway Line 1. In its north is the Inner Ring Highway and south, Najing Road Commercial Street. The renowned Yufu Temple is within walking distance. And around the park are dozes of bus lines. In a word, it is very convenient in transportation. The rows of business buildings and the grand metropolis scenery around it make it an ideal place for investment.

  Shanghai Research Institute of Machine Tool has a five-storey main building and a four-storey accessory building which is combined with the main one, all built with concrete construction with an overall construction area of 3,400 m2  and 1,600m2 office area, toilet on each floor. The building has employed gardeners to ensure a pleasing working environment. It is also supplied with power from a 10,000 volt cable that links directly into the institute’s transformer room with workload of 224 KVA. Its pipeline has a diameter of 3 inches providing 1,600 ton water per month. The main building is equipped with a one ton elevator and two staircases to meet fire control requirements.

  The Jingan city buildings built up by Shanghai Research Institute of Machine Tool mainly features on science and technology research and development. Enterprises settled there are mostly required free of “three waste” pollution and noise pollution, specializing in high value-added machine-photo-electro integrated product R&D and other science-technology-based city industries. The ultimate goal of these buildings is to become the distribution center of numerical control machine tool R&D and components which include digital display, lubricant, servo driver, socket connector, movement control card, numerical control system, bearing etc.
