The district foreign economic commission is the function department that takes charge of foreign economy and trade affairs of the district. The major functions are to implement the national guidelines, policies, laws and regulations on foreign economy and trade, to attract foreign investment and foreign affairs, to approve non-restricted foreign-invested companies within the limitation; to primarily approve and submit restricted foreign-invested projects out of the limitation; to supervise and inspect foreign-invested companies to carry out relevant laws, regulations, rules and contracts. The commission is also responsible for the guidance, coordination, approval and administration on process trade with coming or bought material.

Jing An District Foreign-Invested Enterprises Association, Shanghai
Jing An District Foreign-Invested Enterprises Association established with the approval of the government. It is a non-profit professional social organization composed of joint ventures, cooperative companies, sole-invested foreign companies, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao-invested companies, and other relevant institutions or persons. It was founded in May, 2005 and has over 180 company members. The purpose of the association is to protect the legal benefit of its members, to promote the understanding and cooperation between the government & companies and companies & companies, and to enhance the development of companies, and to build an information platform between the government and companies.
