Notice on Visiting USA Pavilion

To whom it may concern:  

As the first World Exposition ever held in a developing country, Expo 2010 has been unveiled on May 1st. Under the auspice of U.S. Department of State and the strong support of US citizens, USA Pavilion, which also had a grand opening in the Expo Park, has received widespread praises and come out as one of the most popular pavilions.

To encourage more SMEs to go global and enhance US-China bilateral exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, culture and education, the Expo Affairs Liaison Office of Public Affairs Section, U.S. Consulate General Shanghai sincerely invite Shanghai-based young entrepreneurs to visit USA Pavilion, so as to enhance understanding and cooperation by engaging in brief exchange and dialogue with student ambassadors to USA Pavilion and diplomats from the US Consulate. 

The arrangements are as follows:

Organization and Reception: invited young entrepreneurs will gather at Gate 8 to the Expo Part and enter through the VIP channel. US Consulate diplomats and student ambassadors to USA Pavilion will be receiving you in front of the USA Pavilion. You will be invited directly into the Pavilion for a 45-minute tour, after which you will be invited to the VIP Hall on the second floor, where officials from both US Consulate and USA Pavilion will have a 30-minute or so face-to-face communication with you. Meanwhile, the Pavilion will offer you some publications on American culture, education, society and other fronts. 

Time: May 29th, 9:00 – 15:00, and May 30th (specific time period subject to further notice)

Venue: USA Pavilion (section C, Pudong)

Special Note: 1) applicants must be below age 35; 2) Selected candidates must purchase an Expo Ticket at their own expenses; 3) Due to restrictions of space, the number of visitors will be limited to 60, and the tour will last about 1 and a half hours.

 

We encourage you to participate in the event. Please send the receipt back to us before May 20th.
