Established in Jan. 1988, Shanghai Chemical Building Material Trade Association (SCBMTA) is a cross-sector, trans-ownership and non-profit industry organization as legal person organized voluntarily by enterprises and institutions engaged in chemical building material production, trading, design, construction and education in Shanghai.

  SCBMTA currently has 305 members of various ownerships, which have obvious advantages and take leading positions in the industry in terms of production capacity and technological level.

  The mission of the SCBMTA is to abide by the Constitution, laws and regulations, comply with the social morality, implement the guidelines and policies of the state on the municipal engineering construction and management, serve the members, protect the legal rights and interests of the members, ensure fair play within the industry, connect the members to the government and society, and accelerate the healthy development, technological progress and management optimization of the industry.

  SCBMTA publishes Shanghai Chemical Building Material journal (bi-monthly) to provide extensive information to the members, holds trainings and seminars from time to time, assist the members to carry out product promotion activities, and conduct industry statistics, industry investigation and industry appraisal.
