As a cross-sector, trans-ownership and non-profit industry organization as legal person, Shanghai Leather Association (SLA) was founded voluntarily by leather production and sales enterprises in Shanghai in April 2002.

  SLA currently has 63 members of various ownerships, including production enterprises of a full range of leather products.

  SLA’s mission is to abide by the Constitution, laws, regulations and policies of the state; promote the economic development, technological progress and management optimization of the leather industry; coordinate the relationship between members, protect their legal rights and interests, act as a bridge between the government and members, promote international economic exchanges and cooperation, drive social progress, publish SLA Newsletter from time to time to provide extensive information to the members, organize members to participate in exhibitions and trade fairs to explore domestic and international markets, and organize various training courses for members.
