Shanghai Hair & Beauty Trade Association (SHBTA) is a cross-sector, trans-ownership and non-profit industry organization as legal person organized voluntarily by Shanghai hair and beauty enterprises in March 1989.

  SHBTA currently has 334 members of various ownerships, who have certain scale and influence in the industry.

  SHBTA is responsible for organizing business exchange, conducting technical training, providing industry information, developing industry standard, making self-discipline management, and publishing association journal. In 2000, SHBTA held Shanghai International Hair & Beauty Invitation Match and Hair & Beauty Products Exhibition, and developed it into Shanghai International Hair & Beauty Festival in 2002, to promote the exchange between industry insiders, absorb advanced techniques, and drive the development of hair & beauty industry of Shanghai.
