Established in May 1989, Shanghai Electronic Components Trade Association (SECTA) is a cross-sector, trans-ownership non-profit industry organization as legal persons organized voluntarily by high schools, scientific research institutes and electronic component enterprises, with the approval of Shanghai Social Organization Administration Bureau. Now it has 117 members, including Shanghai Feilo Co., Ltd. who has topped the Top 100 Electronic Component Enterprises for six continuous years, as well other influential enterprises such as Shanghai KYOCERA Electronics Co., Ltd., Shanghai Tyco Electronics Co., Ltd., Shanghai Omron Control Components Co., Ltd., Shanghai Shinmei Electric Co., Ltd., Shanghai Dai-Ichi Electronics Co., Ltd., who have established cooperation with many world-famous and large-scale enterprises.

Mission and objectives:
Facilitate the enterprises to be involved in competition;
Promote the information exchange and business cooperation in production and management between enterprises;
Strengthen the connection of enterprises to the fields of economy, finance and theory and to the governmental departments, and contribute to the revitalization of electronic components industry.

Functions:
1.Make industry investigation and industry statistics;
2.Hold exhibition, report meeting, seminar and product promotion event;
3.Conduct technology cooperation and exchange;
4.Provide vocational training and talents to the enterprises;
5.Offer information services;
6.Publish Electronic Components journal;
7.Perform other tasks assigned by governmental departments and other organizations.
